Position Summary Overview

we are looking for a qualified graduate or early career candidate to join our sales team in hyderabad, india.

we are seeking a passionate professional who can contribute to both sales and marketing functions with a primary and initial focus being on core sales and business development aspects of the business. the candidate will help with closing a building pipeline of qualified leads to meet business quotas and company objectives.

the candidate will be expected to research and target prospects using a variety of approaches - email, phone, social media etc.


  • as the institutions sales manager own ambitious individual revenue targets for industry connect program and eduventure.

  • own entire sales cycle from generating, qualifying & developing leads to negotiating and closing opportunities involving multiple stakeholders both internal & external.

  • build and nurture a strong 3x pipeline and accurately forecast and manage your sales pipeline & activity.

  • research, map, develop and nurture strong relationships at multiple levels within your accounts.

  • developing and growing existing business by upselling and cross-selling.

  • value sell & virtual sell to institutions with consultative, creative, tailored pitches/presentations.

  • evangelize the company over all kinds of social channels to generate visibility & leads for your domain & accounts.

  • collaborate with the internal teams to respond to rfis/rfps.

  • be the voice of customers by updating product leaders on key gaps against client asks.


must haves:


  1. 0-3 years of work experience in business development/sales

  2. written communication skills: - shows thoroughness and accuracy in communicating or documenting information in a written format

  3. interpersonal and sales skills -

    1. ability to build one to one relationships; and efficiently share information in small group situations.

    2. talks with the customer, creating a team feeling of working together, versus directing a speech at the customer

    3. works hard at being responsive to any hint of concern or complaint that could keep others from coming to agreement

    4. sensitive to the customer's circumstances and response, adjusting the communication of information or ideas to accommodate their need to know or level of understanding

    5. disciplined in their follow through and consistently tracks key indicators to become aware of problems before they become an issue for the customer.

    6. concentrates full energy and attention on systematically accomplishing key tasks

    7. consistently meets or exceeds sales targets by enhancing product or service sales with personal advice or counsel; positions himself as an expert, attracting interest in the products or services he provides by combining sales with the delivery of consulting services; willing to put himself on the line with his recommendations; builds his reputation as a consultant, providing intellectual property as a key benefit

  4. targets and milestones: consistently meets or exceeds sales targets through personally controlling the critical aspects of the sales and delivery processes; systematically works each account plan and anticipates problems in order to work around them.
