Position Summary: English Teacher

Duties and Responsibilities

General Duties and Responsibilities: English Teacher





  1. Curriculum Delivery





    • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons in line with school curriculum standards and educational goals.




    • Incorporate diverse instructional strategies to meet the needs of all learners (visual, auditory, kinesthetic, etc.).






  2. Classroom Management





    • Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.




    • Maintain discipline and encourage respectful and responsible behavior.






  3. Student Assessment and Progress





    • Design and administer formative and summative assessments to evaluate student learning.




    • Provide regular feedback to students and maintain accurate academic records.






  4. Communication





    • Maintain open and constructive communication with students, parents, and school leadership.




    • Participate in parent-teacher meetings and share progress reports and feedback.






  5. Instructional Innovation





    • Integrate technology and modern teaching tools into classroom instruction.




    • Encourage creativity, independent thinking, and effective communication through interactive learning activities.






  6. Professional Development





    • Engage in ongoing professional learning and attend school-provided workshops or training sessions.




    • Stay updated on best practices and educational trends in English language teaching.






  7. Collaborative Work





    • Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects, assessments, and co-curricular activities.




    • Participate actively in staff meetings and contribute to school-wide initiatives.






  8. Extra-Curricular Involvement





    • Support and participate in school events, assemblies, literary activities, and festivals.
