Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Purpose of the Role:
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to guide students in mastering fundamental language skills—reading, writing, speaking, and listening. The role involves fostering critical thinking and creativity through literature and media analysis while contributing to a vibrant reading culture within the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the syllabus.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching methodologies to enhance learning.
- Assess and provide constructive feedback on student assignments.
- Differentiate instruction to cater to diverse learning needs.
- Maintain detailed records of student progress and performance.
- Collaborate with colleagues and actively participate in professional development.
- Support school events, publications, and activities that encourage literary engagement.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to engage students through interactive and experiential learning methods.
- Prior teaching experience preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience with English language learners is an added advantage.
- Experience: 0-3 years (Candidates with 2+ years of teaching experience preferred).
