Position Summary Overview
As a Hostel Warden, you'll oversee resident movements, maintain records, and manage facilities while ensuring discipline and responding to emergencies. Your responsibilities include coordinating hygiene standards and food provision, managing inventories, and conducting regular floor visits to monitor activities. With strong interpersonal skills, you'll handle student grievances, enforce hostel rules, and conduct meetings with assistant wardens and department heads. Your role requires effective communication, organizational abilities, and a commitment to creating a safe and supportive environment for our residents.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitoring and Maintenance the in & out movement, Leave Register. Sick register and Disciplinaryfiles of students.
- Stores Management of various items like Stationary, pantry requirements.
- Coordination and ensure the hygiene and good food facility in the mess.
- Emergency Response.
- Good Supervision and interpersonal skills.
- Responsibility for facilities enhancement & accountable for hostel inventories. (Beds, Cupboards, studytables and pantry items)
- Must ensure that the students follow hostel rules and Decorum.
- Visit every floor on daily basis.
- Handle all conduct issues with proper patience and follow up.
- To attend meetings of heads of DSW and work as part of team.
- Conduct regular meetings with Asst-Wardens or Wardens and report to Principal in daily basis.
- Looks into the grievances / complaints of the Students if found genuine.
