Position Summary Overview

The following are expected from the candidate





  • Counseling Services:




    • Individual Counseling: Providing one-on-one counseling sessions with students to address personal issues, academic challenges, behavioral problems, or emotional concerns.

    • Group Counseling: Conducting group sessions with students dealing with similar issues such as peer relationships, family problems, or study skills.

    • Crisis Intervention: Assisting students during crises such as accidents, deaths, or other traumatic events affecting the school community.




  • Academic Support:




    • Helping students develop effective study skills, time management, and organizational techniques.

    • Assisting with academic planning, course selection, and career exploration.

    • Collaborating with teachers and parents to support student learning and achievement.




  • Career Counseling:




    • Providing guidance on career exploration, job skills development, and post-secondary education options.

    • Conducting assessments and discussing aptitudes, interests, and career goals with students.

    • Organizing career fairs, guest speakers, or workshops related to career planning.




  • Personal and Social Development:




    • Promoting social skills development, conflict resolution, and peer relationship building.

    • Addressing issues such as bullying, diversity awareness, and school climate improvement.

    • Teaching life skills such as decision-making, problem-solving, and coping strategies.




  • Collaboration and Consultation:




    • Working closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student well-being and academic success.

    • Participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings for students with special needs.

    • Referring students and families to external resources such as community services or mental health professionals when necessary.




  • Program Development and Evaluation:
