Position Summary Overview

The Position will be an English Teacher having in-depth experience and skills to Teach English Language to students so that students get the command over English language both in written and spoken English including accent improvement.



Job Summary:



- Teach English language and literature to students in a school setting

- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to promote language skills, literacy, and literary appreciation

- Assess student progress, provide feedback, and maintain records

- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment

- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve academic goals

- Stay updated on teaching methodologies and language learning techniques



- Accent Assessment: Identifying students' specific accent features and areas for improvement.



- Pronunciation Instruction: Teaching correct articulation, stress, and intonation patterns.



- Speech Exercises: Providing targeted exercises and drills to practice pronunciation skills.



- Listening and Speaking Activities: Engaging students in conversations, role-plays, and audio/video recordings to improve spoken English.



- Phonetics and Phonology: Explaining sound systems, syllable structure, and rhythm patterns.



- Individualized Feedback: Offering constructive feedback and guidance on students' progress.



- Cultural Awareness: Addressing cultural differences in communication styles and speech norms.



- Language Lab Management: Utilizing technology and language learning software to support accent improvement.



- Progress Monitoring: Tracking students' progress and adjusting instruction accordingly.



- Encouraging Self-Practice: Encouraging students to practice outside the classroom, using resources like speech apps and podcasts.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Lesson Planning: Creating engaging lesson plans to achieve learning objectives.



2. Teaching and Instruction: Delivering interactive classes, explaining concepts, and conducting activities.



3. Assessment and Evaluation: Monitoring student progress, grading assignments, and evaluating language proficiency.



4. Curriculum Development: Contributing to curriculum design and development to align with school standards.



5. Classroom Management: Maintaining a conducive learning environment, managing classroom behavior, and encouraging participation.



6. Student Support: Providing individualized support, feedback, and guidance to students.



7. Literacy Development: Fostering reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.



8. Cultural Enrichment: Exposing students to diverse literature, cultural contexts, and linguistic nuances.



9. Collaboration: Working with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary projects and share best practices.



10. Continuous Professional Development: Staying updated on new methodologies, technologies, and language teaching techniques.

Other Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or related field

- Teaching certification or license

- Strong knowledge of English language and literature

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to adapt to diverse learning needs

- Familiarity with curriculum design and development
